Well, due to my not renewing my domain name someone took/stole my original name that I was going under... The Whimsical Goblin. So due to that I will probably be going under the Haunted Hag for all my art instead of just for my Halloween art.

Im hoping that I will be able to create some great art this next year, being in school will make that a little hard but I have a couple of art classes.

Twinge....

I have to admit that I havent felt like creating anything lately well more than lately. But I felt the twinge today. Ive been busy and sidetracked, and well you know how that goes. Sculpting got put to the side. I was trying to sculpt a goblin and it turned into something else. So I stopped for awhile. But since Ive felt the twinge again today, I think I can get back into it again soon. I sure hope so. Feeling a little overwhelmed with things, very unrelated to art.

Anyway one of the things that got me sidetracked was these little fuzzy butts...

Im excited! Ive been creating and its a little different style than what I usually do. Dont worry I wont stop creating in my usual style.

Im really drawn to the simpicity and strangeness of my new creations. Im going to call this series... Darkness. A simple name for a simplistic style.

Im also am going to start selling ACEO's of some of my Work/Sculptures. Here is a peek at what Im talking about... one of my new creations.

I really enjoyed making this and Im going to create lots more :)

My Fairy Name...

I know this has nothing to do with Halloween or creepy or anything like that. Ok, maybe it could be a little creepy, more like strange really.

My studio Name is The Whimsical Goblin. (I created the Haunted Hag for all my Halloween creations; which is what this blog is for, but back to The Whimsical Goblin.)

I found a Fairy Name Generator. I thought to myself... "Sure why not. Not really into fairies but hey."

I put my real name in and this is what I got...

She is a bringer of riches and wealth.

She lives in forests of oak and lime trees.

She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.

Shooting stars are cool, love looking at the stars, although Im scared to death of space, could never be an astronaut.

And well I wouldnt be caught dead in a get up of leaves and berries. How in the world would you wear something like that.

Now the green wings, thats cool, just wished that they didnt look like butterfly wings.

But I thought the name thing was pretty cool. The Goblin part of it anyway. And Im not much of a glitter fan.

Thought I would share. In all honesty if the word Goblin hadnt of been in the name I would have just blown it off. Like I said, Im not much into pretty fairies.

Maybe I will have to sculpt this Oak Goblinglitter, my version :)

Im almost done with my new sculpture Im working on. Talk about being lazy, sheesh.

Anyway, I started working on another goblin and well this guy sorta turned into something else.

Almost done painting him and then I have to add a few embellishments.

Hope to get him finished by next week. Im not very good at sewing, rather detest it really, but alas its something I have to do.

Will post a picture soon. I want this... use to be goblin... to be a surprise.

New Witch... Old Witch...

Here's a Witch that I sculpted a while back. Ive been trying to figure out how I want to finish her. Not sure if I want to make her a full sculpt, soft sculpt, or bust. Im leaning more towards a Bust figure.

I really need to get more motivated for Halloween, after all it is my favorite Holiday, but Ive gotten sick and it really takes the fun out of things.

I have so many ideas floating in my head, I think it might burst. I need to get them out. Of course they wont be ready for Halloween this year, but I will sure be a head of the game for next year.

Halloween Tree...

Ok, I know that I said I was going to make a Halloween tree this year. Why buy one I said, well I found one for $9.99. Couldnt pass that up, silly me. So at least I can have a tree this year since in all honesty, its going to take me awhile to create the tree I really want.

Here is a picture of the tree that I want to create...

I want this tree to be 6 feet tall
and the mouth will be were I put candy the kids can reach in and get.

Every year we have a Halloween Party. Its almost time to start decorating. Right now its time (if Im not too late) to start making props. I have alot of work ahead of me. Lots to do.

I for one want a Halloween Tree this year. I dont want to buy one, thats just plain silly. I will make one. Cant wait to see how it turns out. I think I have finally figured out how I want the tree to be. I dont want a tree that looks like a Christmas tree, that just wouldnt seem right. After all its for Halloween, so it needs to be a bit more spookier than a Christmas tree would be.

I also need to make Ornaments, signs, figures, amoung other things. So I really do have my work cut out for me this year.

So off I go to figure out what I need for materials.

Ok here is my ghost in a bottle. I ended up giving the Ghost away in an HGR (Halloween Go Round). So I still have the bottle.

I plan on making a new Ghost for the bottle. I just thought I would show this one for now.

to the Haunted Hag. Halloween has become one of my Favorite Holidays. I have enjoyed collecting and creating Halloween Art for a few years now. I usually try to create my art to be whimsical and haunting and sometimes even creepy.
